Zámeček Janovičky Restaurant

Our stylish interwar-period restaurant with an amazing view of the whole Broumov area was included in the Maurer’s Grand Restaurant Guide of 2020.

Would you like to enjoy delicious cuisine awarded by the Maurer’s Grand Restaurant Guide of 2020 or spend some pleasant time with a cup of coffee from a local roasting plant? Then you have come to the right place. Zámeček Janovičky Restaurant, furnished in a simple inter-war period style, offers seasonal and local specialties while paying maximum attention to the freshness and quality of the ingredients.

Healthy lifestyle is also on our minds, so you will always find at least one vegetarian meal on our menu.

Up to 52 guests can be seated in the restaurant. It is not necessary to make a reservation in advance. However, if you wish to make sure you will be seated immediately, feel free to contact us and we will gladly book a table for you. The restaurant is open between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. We accept payments in cash in CZK and EUR and it is, of course, also possible to pay by card.

Summer terrace

In fine weather, relax on our terrace with its breathtaking views of the Broumov valley and Stolové mountain ridges.

In the immediate vicinity of the hotel we have a playground for our youngest guests. Lovers of grilled meats, cheeses and vegetables are sure to appreciate the outdoor seating area with barbecue, where they can savour their food while enjoying great views of the surrounding countryside. The terrace has a capacity of 20 guests.

Our Chefs

As the saying goes, cooking is love made visible. Our chefs - Jan Magrot and Jan Kubis – are well aware of that. They will always prepare your meals using the best, mostly regional ingredients.

Jan Magrot

He started cooking at the age of fourteen in his parents’ pub. Later, he gained experience in first class restaurants in the Czech Republic, Spain and in Great Britain, where he worked in 222 Vegie Vegan – the best vegetarian and vegan restaurant in the country. He also worked in Bavaria in the Kropf Restaurant awarded with a Michelin star.

Jan Kubis

He trained to be a cook in Svatý Kopeček near Olomouc where he perfected his cooking skills and met a lot of interesting people. However, he fell for the art of cooking much earlier while helping in his grandmother’s kitchen. Later, Jan worked in the centre of Olomouc in Vila Primavesi, where he learnt the perfect way of preparing fish, seafood, homemade pasta and Mediterranean cuisine. Having spent enough time in urban areas, Jan decided to head for the countryside. He worked in Jeseníky at the Rabštejn Mountain Lodge. In the end, he settled in the beautiful countryside of the Adršpach Rocks and the Broumov area. He has been working in our restaurant for several years.
